Who are we?
We are Bloatersoft.co.uk, currently a soleproprietor operation one man band. (Notice when dealing with companies they are always more than one, even when there is technically only one person in it... odd that.) We are...(erm... I am...) located on the most Eastern Point of England in the Town of Great Yarmouth, Obviously there is the usual debate with our Suffolk cousins about whether Lowestoft is more Eastern, but we arm wrestled them and won to claim it as Great Yarmouth. What do we do? Alot less than we like. Current types of work include but by no means are limited to; graphic design, logotyping, Webdesign, serverside scripting. Anything that can be done on a computer or with a computer, (Except for deviant fetishes) is pretty much considered, no matter if a job is great or small it can be considered. We also act as third-party administrators for websites, so if there is no technical staff capable of keeping a site up to date at a company, we can come along to aid. Why are we called "Bloatersoft"? It's actually down to a play on words, other companies that deal in software might refer to themselves as "Micro" but produce what some deem as "Bloatware", so our intension was to create a company that could dabble with small(micro) software projects and it made sense to call it the opposite, Bloater. That and there is the small factor that Great Yarmouth use to be have a thriving Herring industry. Herring when smoked used to be refered to as "Bloaters", in fact some of the local sports teams still reflect this with their "Bloater" names. Why so casual with the commentary? Being a one man band means there is only so much one guy can get done. It might seem a calious approach to business, not attempting to justify the best selling points or flounce statistics of previously complete jobs or projected returns as providing clue to a successful business portfolio, but to be perfectly honest we are a whole lot nicer than those "scalpers". |
